The primary function of the grader is to evaluate and grade subjective assignments, proctored exams, and projects to assist students in achieving their educational goals.
Must be able to:
Objectively and accurately evaluate subjective exams, proctored exams, and projects against established grading keys and rubrics
Provide clear and effective feedback to students
Complete the necessary steps to ensure that grades are properly recorded with the school
Correspond with students as may be required by the exam evaluation
Graders may provide input to instructional staff regarding areas of student difficulty
Graders may be asked to develop grading rubrics as directed by the instructional staff
Participate in special grading projects which may be required by the instructional staff.
Pick up work from our Scranton, PA location twice a week
Skills & Abilities:
Education: Must Possess an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology from an AVMA-CVTEA Accredited Veterinary technician Program
Experience: Minimum of 2 years working as a Veterinary Technician is preferred. Prior teaching experience is a plus
Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills are required.
Certificates & Licenses: Licensed as a Veterinary Technician is preferred
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to pick up work from our Scranton, PA location twice a week
Must have access to a personal computer with reliable internet access
Incumbent has authority to make grading decisions within established precedents or well-defined policy with regular direction from the instruction staff.
