What You Will Be Doing:

A Financial Service Representative is responsible for collecting payments on past due accounts via predictive dialer. This position requires the ability to ask/probe for payments while providing quality customer service. This representative must be professional and willing to work as a team player within a high performance metric driven area.

This position is on-site at our Scranton, PA campus, conveniently located off of Interstate 81, and offers over 100,000 square feet of meeting and workspace.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Collecting on accounts that are over 10 days delinquent via predictive dialer and manual call campaigns
  • Attempt and Probe for payments/ Process payments
  • Proper code out from dialer calls
  • Warn of outside agency when applicable
  • Providing customer service on past due accounts
  • Handling customer service overflow when needed

Job Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Preferred collector and/or customer service

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, MS Outlook and phone

Other Requirements:  Self-motivated, proper phone etiquette, solid communication skills, goal-orientated and a good attendance record

To be a Financial Services Representative, a High School diploma or GED is required.

To excel as a Financial Services Representative, you will need to possess acute listening skills, a high degree of empathy and cultural sensitivity, and the ability to compel students to take action on their financial obligations.

Physical Job Requirements and Demands:

The Financial Services Representative can expect to sit for lengthy periods of time in an office environment, and will spend the majority of their shift on the phone talking to students.

Additional Information:
