Digital Assets Assistant Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Digital Assets Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day work involved with ensuring a quality online experience for Penn Foster students. This includes organizing, maintaining, archiving, and distributing academic content to students via the online student experience, as well as troubleshooting issues that students are reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Troubleshoot student issues and correct them to ensure a quality online experience.
  • Review work order tickets and delegate and assign the work.
  • Solve issues through creative-problem solving and open and collaborative communication.
  • Support effective working relationships within the team as well as cross-functionally.
  • Assist with entering, managing, and reporting on status of technology support tickets.
  • Complete online exam revisions and perform quality assurance checks for online materials, courses, exams, and bills of materials.
  • Assist IT with installing and troubleshooting Product Development software.
  • Prepare and deploy streaming versions of audio/visual files, including course videos and recorded lectures and webinars, to the student’s online experience.
  • Create, export, and process web PDFs, online supplements, and other content and media files.
  • Maintain the supplement system and approve the list of course components for inventory.
  • Learn new programs and platforms quickly, drive continuous improvement, and train the team.
  • Assist Sr. Digital Content Manager and platform partners to manage and implement various platform projects, including content migration and ingestion.
  • Review and update the HTML code within the operating system to provide quality content to students.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree required

Experience: Background in Information Management. Proven experience in being highly organized and process driven. Experience in working and communicating with technology teams.

Computer Skills: Experience with learning management systems strongly preferred. HTML coding experience required. LaTeX coding experience a plus. AS400 experience a plus. Knowledge of file formats (print, digital, video). Strong technical aptitude. Experience with Jira strongly preferred. Knowledge of learning tool interoperability (LTI), common cartridge, and SCORM compliance desirable.
